Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist capable of applying advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to design and develop cutting-edge data products, including predictive analytics, prescriptive solutions, decision-support, and decision-automation systems. In this role, you will work with large and diverse Big Data sets from our technology development and manufacturing teams, transforming raw information into actionable insights that drive innovation and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and optimize machine learning models and data-driven algorithms for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Employ techniques and theories from mathematics, statistics, semiconductor physics, materials science, and IT to uncover patterns and insights.
• Independently develop software programs, algorithms, and automated processes for data cleansing, integration, and evaluation across multiple sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and fellow data scientists to address business-critical challenges using advanced analytics.
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists in innovative methodologies and execution.
• Conduct exploratory analysis and drive new solution development to support manufacturing optimization.
• Integrate ML models into scalable production systems ensuring accuracy, reliability, and performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
• 4–9 years of hands-on experience in Machine Learning and Data Science.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R, with strong expertise in ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn.
• Experience with PySpark, SparkR, or SparklyR, and familiarity with Hadoop (Hive, Spark, HBase) or Snowflake.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, feature extraction, and supervised/unsupervised/semi-supervised learning.
• Ability to extract and process data from multiple databases using SQL and advanced data cleansing techniques.
• Exposure to manufacturing or semiconductor industry data is a plus.
• Experience working with time-series data, image data, and changing data distributions.
• Strong software development, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in distributed teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Familiarity with semi-supervised learning and large-scale industrial data environments.
• Research publications or contributions to leading conferences such as CVPR, NIPS, ICML, or KDD are an added advantage.
• Knowledge of automation scripting and statistical software (e.g., JMP) is desirable.
